JOB OPPORTUNITY: At American Journal Experts (AJE), we believe that every researcher deserves a voice, so we offer author-oriented solutions to overcome the many barriers to the publication process for researchers around the world. AJE, a division of Research Square, is currently seeking editors as well as Chinese and Portuguese translators from various STEM fields for scholarly manuscripts originally written by non-native English speakers. AJEs editors and translators are independent contractors who work remotely within their areas of academic expertise, set their own availability, and determine their preferred workload; these settings can be adjusted at any time. Compensation is based on manuscript length, quality of the original manuscript, and the customers chosen turnaround time. To qualify as an AJE contract translator, you must have technical expertise in your area of specialization as well as reading and writing fluency in English and either Chinese or Portuguese. Experience working in a foreign-language setting is highly preferred.
