JULY 28 THE GOD WHO HEALS “.. I am the Lord Who heals you. ..” (Exodus 15: 26 Amplified Bible) When Moses asked God who He was, God replied, I AM who I AM which is translated Yahweh or Jehovah. Later in Holy Scripture, God reveals Himself and His divine essence by using seven more detailed additions to His name. One of them is Jehovah-Rapha (the Lord who heals us), which is given in Exodus 15. The Hebrew word rapha means to mend, cure, heal, repair, and make whole. It also can be translated as physician. Thus, Father God declares Himself to be our Great Physician. He mends us, cures us, repairs us, and makes us whole. He is the one who created us and He desires for us to walk in His divine health. How wonderful it is that one of the most important things that God wanted us to know about Him was that He is a healer. He created Adam and Eve without sickness, and it was only after they came to know evil through their choice of disobedience that they were subject to illness and disease. Since Gods plan was revealed in the Garden of Eden, we know that sickness was not part of Gods plan for man. It was part of Satan’s plan to separate man from God. But God is infinitely more powerful than Satan. Hallelujah! God knows how devastating illness can be. So He covenants with us that He has the power to make His plan prevail. He is always perfectly faithful to us. Psalm 107: 20 says, He sent His Word and healed them. God did indeed send His Son so that we could be fully redeemed, saved, delivered, and healed in our spirit, our soul, and our body. Jesus carried not only our sins to Calvarys cross but also our illnesses. No matter what sickness or infirmity may befall us, we are healed by the stripes and blood of Jesus. Receive your healing now. Make this confession “Almighty God, I give you grateful thanks for revealing Yourself as Jehovah-Rapha, my Great Physician and the mighty God who heals me. I am so thankful that You are above all sickness and disease. In the name of Jesus, I command every malfunctioning cell, tissue, gland, and organ to perform perfectly. You are the God who calls what is not as though it were, so I proclaim with confidence that every cell in my body is healthy and whole according to Your holy Word.
