Jeffrey Toobin of the New Yorker ponders: "The question, of course, is whether the government can function when all of its employees (and contractors) can take it upon themselves to sabotage the programs they don’t like. That’s what Snowden has done." Thank you, Jeffrey. I raise a question of my own: IS IT DESIRABLE TO HAVE A GOVERNMENT THAT CAN SNOOP ON ITS CITIZEN IN BLANKET FASHION? If not, then why tolerate a government that swore to prevent such an abuse?
