Jese Rodriguez Ruiz or simply known as ‘Jese’ was born on the 26th of February 1993 in Las Palmas, Spain which is located in the Canary Islands. He started his youth career at EL Pilar FC then later moved to Huracan. In 2007 aged 14 Real Madrid’s famed youth academy snapped him up and he has prominently rose through the ranks all the way to the first team this season. Jese is now even on course to equaling a man who he has been recently been dubbed as because of his goal scoring prowess, legendary Raul Gonzalez Blanco for goals in a debut season from (94-95) with just two more goals and who is to say Jese wont top it. This may not come as a surprise to avid Madridistas (Real Madrid Supporters) as Jese broke a nearly 30 year club record held by R.Madrid icon Emilio Butragueno of scoring 22 goals for the Castilla (Real Madrid B team) 1 more than Butragueno. The story goes that the path from the Junior ranks to the first team wasn’t as smooth as expected, Jese has always had a taste for champagne football and very much believing in his own abilities to the point of arrogance which was nearly his downfall because he stopped working hard and became lackadaisical earlier in his career, so much so that he got called in to an emergency meeting with a hierarchical figure who happened to be an ex player at the club and asked him if he really wanted to be a Real Madrid player? Jese response was an emphatic YES! The man took Jese’s contract (which was a fake/ploy) and tore it up in-front of his face and said you will never make it here because of your attitude. Jese was heartbroken to the point of tears, he swore to make it up and do what-ever it takes and hasn’t looked back ever since.
