Jesus Calling today: Come to Me with your defenses down, ready to be blessed and filled with My presence. We live in an age of high security and skeptic attitudes. This is not a shock to Jesus. He has had skeptic views glared toward Him for ages. Even Christians approach the throne of Grace with hesitation. We should forfeit this practice. We must relax and feel the relief of being totally open and authentic with Jesus!! 1 John 1:5-7 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we profess to have a relationship with God, there is no reason for us to have apprehension to approach His throne. We are His heirs, He delights for us to come to be immersed in His presence. We should bask in the light that there are no inhibitions with God, He knows all about us already. One of the worst consequences of the Fall of man is the elaborate barriers people erect between ourselves and others. There are many facades and the church is not immune. Often the church is the very place in which people feel unable to be themselves. We cover up with Sunday Clothes and Sunday Smiles, relief is felt because the strain of false fellowship is finally done at the end of the service. The best cure for artificiality in your surroundings is to lose yourself in the Presence of the Lord at church. Our primary focus should be to communing with God and worshiping Him and glorifying Him. We will then be able to be genuine to others and smile with the Joy of the Lord and not a fabricated practice. We will be able to love with the Love of Christ. Keep with you the promises from His word today Philippians 4:8-9 says Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. This is a great view of how our minds should be, and finally also take with you the wonderful and faithful promise found in Exodus 33:14 The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Seek Him out today every moment of the day and allow His presence to be with you at all times!!!
