John 12:10(a) So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well... Did you already know that? I did not, or forgot, even after reading this section probably at least 12 times so far! Lazarus was the object of a murder plot. And the only reason given is that he was the object of Jesus latest greatest miracle, being raised from the dead. That event was apparently the turning point for several of the Jews (not just the peasant Jews.) I guess the moral of that is - if you have been victimized, betrayed, or even let down by people you thought should be on your side, especially if its due to your faith, remember that Jesus said it would happen. He knows your suffering.
