John goes ice fishing once or twice a year with his precious friends up to a resort on Lake of the Woods. This is a huge lake that is partly in Minnesota and partly Canada. Its always been a guys only kind of thing, so I stay home. Ive always wanted to go. Well, all the friends had some kind of personal disaster so guess what? Im going! Ive never been real keen on driving on a body of water, even if it is frozen. We leave Sunday, stay in a cabin which is nearby the lodge where there is a restaurant and bar. They have a good hot breakfast, then everyone loads up into these ice buses called bombardiers. The driver drops you off at your designated fish house. They come pick you up before dark. The house is heated, and we bring a lunch. They will cook you fresh catch for you at dinner if you so desire. Im excited to go! Ill take photos. Its going to be below zero so I hope the heater is reliable. Fish on!
