Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paul Rudd favourites for Edgar Wrights Ant-Man Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd are the favoured choices to appear as the title role in Ant-Man, according to a report. The two stars both meet director Edgar Wrights desire to have a normal-looking actor play the character rather than a typical burly action hero, Variety reports. Gordon-Levitt and Rudd will reportedly meet with Marvel Studios and Wright for a final time, while the possibility of another actor portraying the superhero hasnt been ruled out entirely. Wright also tweeted a picture of the animated Ant-Man tonight (October 14), attached with the question: Is this the real Ant-Man or an impostor? The director revealed in July that the script for the long-awaited Marvel film had been completed. The release of Ant-Man was recently moved forward to July 31, 2015.
