José A. Ferreyras last silent film was produced in 1927. It is called PERDON VIEJITA and it is based upon the tango written by Osvaldo Fresedo (music) and José Antonio Saldías (lyrics). In 1932, the film was reissued with a Sidetone (Vitaphone) soundtrack. Although both the film and soundtrack exists, they are almost inaccessible. There is a lousy version of the film in YouTube but without the soundtrack. Of that soundtrack, rescued and preserved by Héctor Lorenzo Lucci, only this clip is so far available in which the Fresedo music is performed the singer is leading lady María Turgenova who, back in 1927, used to go to each exhibition of the movie and performed live the tango.
