Jude 1:4 – For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only sovereign and Lord. Grace is not a “get out of jail” card for doing anything that we want. People will want to justify their behavior using the language of grace, but this is a perversion, or a reversal of the concept of grace. Grace doesn’t just deal with what we do, but why we do it, and the person who is gripped by grace is someone who is experiencing God’s deep supernatural power to break the cycle of their sin.
