I do think it is possible to heal a diastasis conservatively, but we need to understand how the abdomen and underlying fascia are behaving to understand if we can help a with rehab (see Diane Lee for more info on this). This is my big soapbox regarding specific programs: what you do with the abdomen in a short exercise session cannot beat 16 hours a day of standing in lousy alignment that separates the midline all day (please see video). The alignment you do fitness in is critical to approximating the abdomen and connective tissue to encourage closure as well. Fitness can support closure, but not if you are challenging the midline with your fly open (see video). More on diastasis to come.
