July 1st is this coming Monday and is not just another day. It is the begining of the New Sierra Nevada Amateur Radio Society! It is the day that the Wide Area Data Group club officially merges into SNARS; SNARS will gain 7 repeaters, 87 members and all the new ideas and plans to make the largest and best amateur radio club in Northern Nevada. We are excited and you should be too. The WADG will not be forgotten for all the great things that is has done in the past but in this day and age we are confident that one big society will be better for the membership than two will ever come close to. We plan to work together for the betterment of the members and to all that come to our community. We hope that all of you out there in Northern Nevada come out to our first official WADG as SNARS Members meeting July 6th, 7 AM at the Carrows Restaurant, 860 E. Plumb Lane (southwest corner of Plumb and Kietzke), Reno. All SNARS members and guests are welcome!
