June 18 ANOTHER SCRIPTURE TO DISPEL THE MYTH OF POVERTY BEING GOD’S WILL The Lord will open to your His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. Deuteronomy 28:12 FAITH TO BELIEVE THAT GOD IS A GOD OF PLENTY It is not a sin to be poor, but it is a sin to believe that being in lack is God’s will for you. Again and again in the word of God, He proclaims that He is a God of more than enough. He is Jehovah Jireh; the Lord will provide. God promises to do more than meet our needs. He says that we will lend to many and not borrow. When the goodness of God, and His will for us is to prosper is preached in third world countries people prosper. They may not prosper in the same way that people in the United States do. However, when they hear the message of God’s love and His willingness to more than meet our needs, they begin to prosper according to the level of prosperity in their nation. In Nigeria a person who is considered prosperous rides a motor bike. People who are walking, start believing God wants them to prosper. Soon they will be riding a bicycle. Before you know it they are riding a motor bike. The main reason people do not prosper wherever they are is because they are not sure if it is God’s will. READ THE WILL. THE NEW COVENANT IS GOD’S NEW WILL FOR HIS CHILDREN
