June 25, 2014 witnessed a few developments which the chest thumping nationalists will brush aside in their hallucinated urge for the development saga.First renowned lawyer Gopal Subramaniums appointment as Supreme Counrts judge was scuttled by the saheb led NDA government, the reasons for which are clear and known to all, then the judge hearing Sahebs lieutenant Amit Shahs case vis a vis Gujarat encounters was transferred and then report that on the direction of Modi the Home Ministry destroyed more than 150000 historical files in a period of one month. This is nothing but a sign of a totalitarian system where any voice of dissent is destined to be made silent through different means. We dont have anything against the developments, which must happen, but they must not be used to silence the reasonable voices which in a democracy are the most powerful checks, even more powerful than the useless opposition.
