Jus leaving her school and I thnk I held it together!! They freaked me out whn they brought the other 3rd grade class into the room tho!! As Im sitting in the parking lot, Im tryna compose myself b/c it was sooo hard not to be emotional! I did focus on how everyone is different and how our differences is what makes life btr!! It was refreshing when I mentioned her and several kids raised their hands in support knowing her for over 3 yrs!! I charged them to not only continue treating her the same, but if they encounter children with Down syndrome in the future to be sure to so the same with them even if they not functioning as much as Jannah! I also told them to be her support so if new students or people unfamiliar try n treat her different to prevent it b/c thats not right! Lastly, I asked them would it be better if everyone was the same? N a little girl said no, b/c if everyone had the name bob and was the same it would be boring!! Today was da first day Ive ever done this and partly it was for Jannah as much as those other kids! I want to inform her of what shes facing and not let her live her life blindly not recogniZing the elephant in the room!! Idk if this is the right idea, but Ive trusted my heart soo far dont know why Id stop now!! #wdsd
