Just a silly little note: This is all so wonderful for me. I sit, looking at most of these photos and in some, I remember my child-hood, in others, I feel deprived, having been born too late. This morning I had the insane notion: Imagine having all these photos printed and papering walls with nothing but... one room, FULL of them, just to sit and cuddle, surrounded. I miss my old home-town... the old one. I was generation number 2, back in the 50s and 60s when The City was still THE City. But even then, there were the old folks who used to talk about I remember when... NYC... it never stops changing, never stops moving. It truly is one of those places where, when you leave, you really never can go back... even if you only stepped out to Cross County for shopping... while youre away, something changes. Thanks again for this page, to all who post photos, for the smiles and even for the tears... but always for the memories. Thanks so much.
