Just after 10pm the local fire Service`s were called to reports of a fire at Brick Bank Farm, Dragons Lane, Moston, Sandbach. On arrival crews found a well-developed fire involving a wooden barn approximately 100 metres by 50 metres with four large cylinders nearby and called for more engines and crews to be sent to the scene. Currently there are 10 fire engines on scene including ones from Sandbach, Middlewich, Crewe, Holmes Chapel, Winsford, Northwich and Congleton. Update at 11.30pm: the fire is confirmed as involving three, adjacent single storey wood and brick buildings. Several cylinders have exploded and crews are currently cooling four 200 litre butane tanks with two ground monitor jets. There are no reported injuries. Update at 11.55pm: firefighters are now using the specialist High Volume Pump unit to supply water to the scene from a nearby canal. Crews are continuing to use ground monitor jets to cool the butane tanks and have prevented the fire from spreading to the farmhouse.
