Just after the ruling by Judge Davis yesterday, I have read and heard various comments for and against the decision of National Assembly to suspend members of the EFF. The facts are, the Judge made a ruling on the case to interdict Parliament (National Assembly) from implementing a sanction aimed at disciplining members of the EFF. There is no finding on whether the Parliament was wrong to have come to such a decision - this was not before court, to me the Judge was very much aware what constitutional power Parliament has on that specific matter. In this regard, there is no winner or loser - the court only granted a temporary suspension to implement a sanction against members of the EFF, call it a delay to effect it. The test is whether Parliament will successful to implement its decision, any time in 2015 It should be recalled that EFF filed an urgent case before Judge President of the Western Cape (Judge Hlophe) to seek an urgent power to stop Parliament from implementing its decisions on EFF members. For me it is too early to say Parliament has lost or EFF has won. ASIKHULUME, your voice is power
