Just as Laylatul Qadr is the superior NIGHT of the year, the day of ARAFAH is the superior DAY of the year. Dont forget to fast tomoro & spend the day doing ibadah, reading Quran, dhikr & making dua for our Ummah. Prophet (sallal lahu alaihi wasallam) was asked about fasting on the day of ‘Arafah and he said: “It expiates for the past and coming years.” [Muslim:1162] Also this hadith about Arafah being on Friday & reward equals 70 Hajj is FABRICATED: “The most superior day is the Day of `Arafah which coincides with Friday, (performing Hajj) in it is better than Seventy Hajj performed in days other than Friday.” [Silsilah al-Hadeeth al-Dha`eefah (207). Shaikh al-Albaanee said: “This Hadeeth is Baatil (baseless) and has no origin.”] Ibn al-Qayyim said in “Zaad al-Ma`aad (1/65)”: “As for (the narration) that has become widespread upon the tongues of the people that it is like performing Seventy-Two Hajj, is baseless and there is no origin for it, neither from the Prophet (sallal lahu alaihi wasallam) or the Companions or Taabi`een.”
