It never stemmed from a health issue in the first place. The American Academy of pediatrics and the world health organization cannot fully commit to say that circumcision is universally the best thing to be done for all boys. Even within their organizations they realize that the benefits dont outweigh the risks. Unfortunately the practice is so common people dont even seem to think about the fact that they are literally taking a knife to their childs penis and cutting the skin off. And with minimal anesthesia. Would you ever for one second consider doing this to your baby girl? Would you cut off part of her labia? Please if you are having a baby boy, do the right thing by him and thoroughly research this topic before you/your wife goes into labor.
