Just finally got some answers today. Although are RDD was only about a week ago, I felt I needed to be proactive reading all these horror stories. Our vehicle was dropped off at Ramstein on July 27th. However, upon calling the Houston port authority today(who was extremely helpful, as we were not given a container # and he was struggling to locate our info, he politely asked if he could have my number and promised to call back today). When he did call back an hour later, he was apologetic and said Im sorry Ive been trying to reach you for an hour and I accidentally transposed one of the digits of your number so I was trying all kinds of numbers! Wow. This info may be helpful to others who vehicle left around the same time. He preceded to tell me that our vehicle did not depart the Bremerhaven port until nearly a month later...Aug 19! It arrived at the Houston port on Sept 8th via the Yorktown Express, Voyage # 019W. Ours, specifically, departed Sept 10th via Seahorse Express trucking company to make its way to San Diego. Cleared customs in 2 days???? Does that sound fishy. He did give me their number, but was unable to reach them as it is after duty hours.Hopefully, theyre easier to get in contact with than IAL. Its just hard to trust any answers at this point regardless of how nice they are. Anyone have any experience with Seahorse Express? Or have any experience in how long it took for your car to get from Houston to San Diego? Thanks.
