Just got back today from nearly 2 weeks out west. We enjoyed a nice after noon at the Alamo and evening at the Riverwalk in San Antonio, then up through Tucson and Phoenix, through the beautiful desert and Joshua Tree forest and caught up with some friends who live in Vegas, enjoyed a couple of great shows. Then on to the awesome Grand Canyon for a couple of days hiking, drove down to the red rock country of Sedona, then up to Flagstaff to view Jupiter through the telescope at the Lowell Observatory. On the way to Albuquerque, we stopped at a volcano crater and a meteor crater before lunch in Winslow, AZ where we stood on the corner. It was such a fine sight to see! Then we marveled at the Petrified Forest and the painted desert. Its a good thing cameras dont use film any more. The next day we had lunch in Amarillo at the Big Texan Steakhouse where if you can eat a 72 ounce steak, its free! No, we didnt! It was a great trip, but its always good to get back home!
