Know What You Are Getting Into Before You Sign, Thursday, June 26 When: Noon-2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 Where: SAG-AFTRA James Cagney Boardroom Lobby Level 5757 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90036 Parking will be validated. The SAG-AFTRA Professional Representatives Department will hold another in its continuing bi-coastal educational seminars on the newly created Personal Manager Code of Ethics and Conduct (i.e. a voluntary agreement that interested personal managers/members can sign). Personal management contracts have traditionally been outside of SAG-AFTRA’s protection, but this does not have to be the case anymore. This member-driven initiative is now available for all personal managers and members to use. Participating managers who sign on to the Code will have, for the first time, a more formalized relationship with SAG-AFTRA. Personal managers and members alike will enjoy the benefits (and protections) that come with affiliating with SAG-AFTRA. We invite you to come learn more about the agreement and how it can apply to, and protect, you in your relationship with your manager.
