Just had a phone call from a cousin that made my day. He was enjoying the saffron bread that I sent. Funny how a loaf of bread can be special. Memories can make you happy or melancholy. They did the latter for me a week ago but I think Im out of my funk and looking forward to my daughter coming home and to at least part of my family being here. We are fortunate to be able to stay in touch with family and friends in ways that our ancestors never envisioned. How hard it must have been for them and how lucky we are, especially during the holidays. May yours be happy and may you enjoy the small things that make memories precious.
