Just in case anyone missed this yesterday.If you have any of these bowls throw them away as they have lead based paint and glaze on them.Our Quaker parrot (Christian) we also have a conure ! Is in at the bird specialist Alex Rosenwax with what they believe to be heavy metal poisoning due to eating out of these evil little bowls.I lead tested them & twice it came back with an extremely high reading,you can but a pack of 2 tests from Bunnings.His symptom was a completely knuckled (clenched) foot,this is because the heavy metal enlarges the kidneys therefor pressing on the nerve that runs down a birds leg.I cant thank the specialist enough they let us visit him every day and sit with him for up to an hour its a long trek but helps us so much as Im sure it does Christian.Our pineapple conure (Humphrey) is missing his brother terribly and keeps calling out wheres Chris Chris .Fingers crossed he comes home happy and healthy very soon.
