Just paid bills the old fashioned way --- over the phone -- as no one can tell me, when Ive asked, if theyve patched their systems to protect data due to the heartbleed vulnerability. Customer service is just that. Serving the customers. I dont care if its face to face, via phone, or social media. There has to be consistent messaging to all teams and telling me you actively monitor your systems isnt an answer. Its avoidance. I worked retail and customer facing jobs for a long time. I also did it right. Its time for companies to get it right.
