Just received a message from Aara Jayne saying that her local butcher is going broke. Another in a long line of quality local family businesses unprotected by the pro small business rhetoric of politicians who nevertheless render possible the interests of Wesfarmer/Coles - Woolies food duopoly as they smash their greed driven way into control of ever more of our food supply. Next time you see a local butcher or vegie shop dont drive by, drive in. The quality is usually superior to the mass marketed mongrels merchandise and you may be surprised by the price.
