Just some with a young couple who have become a blended family. Both made the same statement of how hard it is at times. Have not been in that situation, but do know that I have had many talks with my own children about similar situations. Once married, you now have a much larger family. You now really do have two families that you work to blend together. Will both families become your family, prayerfully they will. Will you love the other side, like your blood family? Prayerfully, you will grow to do this. When we desire to spend the rest of our life with one we say we love, do we not want to love the spouses family and be a family to them as well? We have to make the effort to love them like our blood family and it can be done, if we want it to. Honestly, I can tell you that in my heart, Jacobs family is my family too. Loving your spouse, you want to strive toward unity every day. Will you always agree, oh course not but I dont always agree with my own children or husband or son or daughters in-laws but love them with all my heart. Praying this couple will find this love for their blended family.
