Just to let you all know we made an amazing £1381.68 from the Race Night! Thank you to everyone who bought horses, jockeys and tickets, the 4 businesses who sponsored a race - Davidson Land Services, Kari-Ella Stevenson from Kids Threads, Galashiels, Rob Wilson Hair, Melrose and Creative Stage. Tweedbank Fair Committee who kindly gave us a loan of their bar fridge and glasses. Dot Robinson who took the tickets at the door, Rhona Morrison who helped on the bar, Myra Gentleman who took charge of the Lucky Square, the 5 mums who attended, those who gave donations, Kirsty who made her delicious curried sweet potato soup for the interval and of course Rob and Raymond from No-Nonsense Race Nights, full of their usual wit and banter. Anybody who won prizes from their horses or jockeys winning a race I gave them to your children yesterday after scholar class. Hopefully after the train fares are paid we will have some money to put towards doing some activities/show in London. Marie and Katie will keep you posted. Many thanks once again for your support.
