Just watched the most touching story on NBC news about a high school football coach in Dallas, GA. His name is Scott Hamilton. Every game he picks a boy from the special needs class and makes them a team member for the day. He gives them a jersey. Lets them ride the bus, lead the team out onto the field, warm up with the team and stay on the side lines with the other team members. The smiles on the faces of the two boys that were picked for that game was sooo big. It was precious. Those boys were so excited and happy to be a part of the team. Their moms were on the side lines crying because of what their sons were getting to experience. I wish this would happen at every school. I believe its just as important for the players as it is for the special needs boys. The normal boys need to learn to treat everyone with respect and dignity, and to not feel entitled or better than others because they can play a sport. What a great example this coach sets for his team and school. Go coach Hamilton!
