KARLY HOLLAND ARRESTED FOR CHARITY WORK. So I nominated my daughter Karly to Bob for Bentley, right? In an excited mood she heads back to Iowa City determined to get everyone there wound up and going. She drives around a couple hrs to find a place to enter water. Finds the rowing dock in a public park. She & her friend check for signs--there are none. So in she goes and runs back to her vehicle. Out of the car less than 3 minutes. A cop on a motorcycle blocks her way, runs her plate, CALLS IN BACK UP & was such an arrogant piece of work he wouldnt even let her explain WHY. Then when she asks if there are signs that she missed saying not to go in the water, he responds That there arent signs saying not to bungee jump off the hospital roof, but you still cant do it. So SHE & HER FRIEND WHO NEVER WENT IN THE WATER both were given written warnings for CRIMINAL TRESPASSING & told never to return to that CITY PARK again or theyd be arrested. Now-make note here--theres skateboarders about 10 feet away. Vb nets, tennis courts, AND she has to go to this park as an employee of the Hawkeye Athletic Dept. He said she can return only if shes working now. Much more to the story--but a 50 yr old man in skinny jeans being sarcastic & beyond rude to her friend is pretty hard to take seriously.
