KCP arrested from Lilong area MU NEWS/IMPHAL, June 18 : Troops of 40 Assam Rifles based on specific intelligence regarding the movement of UG cadres, established a MVCP in general area Lilong resulting in the apprehension of two Kangleipak Communist Party (Noyon) cadres who were travelling in a Maruti 800 (MN-01 S 3497) today,according to a press release issued by PRO Assam Rifles. The apprehendees were identified as S Shantikumar Singh (40) son of S Nilo Singh, resident of Singjamei Naorem Leikai and S Tomba, (32) son of S Tombal, resident of Kakwa Keibung Oinam Leikai. One 9mm Pistol with magazine, four 9mm live rounds, one Chinese hand grenade and cash amount Rs 6700/- (Indian currency) were also recovered from the apprehendees. The apprehendees alongwith the recovered items have been handed over to the Lilong Police Station,the release added.
