KEEP A SLIP FROM BECOMING A FALL! These are words from BEAR GRYLLS to BEN STILLER on the importance of a short rope in mountain climbing. The lead climber is connected to the other climber with this rope that is used if one of them slips, there is not enough slack in the line to allow the slipping person to gain speed and grow in to a fall. The moment I heard that when I was watching this episode I thought about ACCOUNTABILITY. Many times in life we go through challenges and temptations that cause us to slip. If we are connected to others relationally with this short rope of accountability this fall can keep from growing in to a full-fledge fall (ECCL. 4:9-10 speaks directly to this issues). But if we are all alone, unconnected relationally to others, that same slip could continue until we see the debris of a fall all around us. Heres the question for you...
