TUESDAY I hope you can join The Great American Songbook (T-GAS) at La Bodega starting at 7:30 PM with all the great hits from yesteryear all done with style by Paul Brier on vocals and keyboards, Jay Shuffle on vocals and his magical harmonica’s and yours truly back from a triumphant stand as Santa Claus in Canada. Lots of great dancing on Ajijic’s very best dance floor. SPECIAL EVENT! 4 is having a fundraiser to assist Giovanni Militello’s little girl after his tragic passing. Lots of drink specials and a $195 Prix Fixe Italian Food feature... great choices for you. Entertainment will be by Yann and Gabi also known as Black Swan With Diamonds starting at 7 PM. All the musicians and staff is donating their time on this special night. This takes place from 6 PM to 10 PM and the regular menu is also available. WEDNESDAY (NEW YEAR’S EVE) The Lucky Dogs with Paul Brier, Don Prater, Lindsey Spec and Sergio Casas will be rockin’ in the New Year at Adelita’s Bar & Grill in San Antonio Tlayacapan. There are 5 dinner options with salad and dessert and Champagne served at midnight. Tickets are available at the restaurant at 600 Pesos but phone first at 766-0097. Bring in 2015 at La Bodega with a dinner and dance with Blanca & Ricardo starting at 8:30 PM. There will be a delicious meal, traditional sparkling wine and Grapes, all for 660 Pesos. Reserve now at 766-1002. 4 has a special evening for you starting at 6:30 PM with a cover charge of 450 Pesos which is for bar guests. From 7 PM to 8:30 PM the piano stylings of Timothy G. Ruff Welch will be featured along with Kim Everest on vocals. Then for the rest of the evening and bringing in the New Year will be The Tallboys. A sumptuous 600 Peso 4 course PRIX FIXE (or order a la carte) will be the meal. Reservations at 766-1360 or visit restaurantnumberfour. Perhaps an elegant evening at St. Rémy du Lac by Pierrot will be your destination for New Year’s Eve. Sparkling wine will be served all evening and Les Voyajeurs will be performing. The very extensive menu can be viewed at their Facebook page. I love the 12 grapes wishes and that will be included in the evening. Menu has a price of 650 Pesos and reservations can be made at 766-0607. La Hacienda de Don Pedro will have a celebration for you starting at 7 PM. The 500 Peso per person (not including tip) or 250 Pesos (for children under 12) entry includes 3 house tequila drinks, a multi-course meal, a glass of Champagne to welcome in 2015, participation in raffles for door prizes (for 12 bottles of their Chilean House Wine) and live music for dancing. Marie Isabel’s in the Old Posada by the Ajijic pier is having a celebratory buffet dinner at 250 Pesos each. You will enjoy Mariachi music with your dinner from 7 to 9 PM, midnight Champagne with traditional 12 Grapes and live music for dancing from 9 PM to 2 AM plus party treats. THURSDAY NEW YEAR’S DAY FRIDAY Get your dancing shoes on and get on down to Adelita’s Bar & Grill for Ladies’ Night... that’s right!... not only do you get Mike and the Suspects, all the gals drinks are half price (1/2) from 7 PM on. This very popular group starts at 8 PM. If you love good dance music and fun you’re going to love Sol y Luna at La Bodega at 8 PM. SUNDAY Take a drive west of Ajijic and stop at one of the great spots out there… most of the entertainment (and there are some super groups) start at 3 PM and go until about 6 PM. there are also lots going on at the Chapala Malecon at The Beer Garden, Perla Negra and others. LIVE THEATRE UPCOMING EVENTS YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS! Jayme Littlejohn, founder of My, My, How Nice! Productions is bringing back the first show her company performed, Always...Patsy Cline. The cast includes Jayme Littlejohn, Patteye Simpson and Timothy G. Ruff Welch. This story written by Ted Swindley is based on the true story of Patsy Cline’s friendship with Houston housewife Louise Seger who became an avid fan and personal friend, corresponding with the country superstar until her tragic death. This show will play from January 1st & 3rd and from January 8th & 10th with performances at 7:30 PM and January 4th & 11th at 3 PM. By the way, this all happens at Jayme’s brand new theatre (The Bravo!) at the old Sol y Luna on Rio Bravo so there is two great things to see at one time! As you may know by now, I don’t believe in luck Jayme, so “Good Skill”. Be sure and get your tickets for Mac Morison’s once a year show “Nice and Easy” directed and produced by Barbara Clippinger. Featuring Judy Hendrick and Patrick Doumouchel with special guest star, Los Angeles stand up comic Laura Hayden. Opening the show for Mac are the dancing MACeettes…Alexis Hoff, Heather Hunter, Val Jones and Allyson Dejong Mac will be singing classic standards and some new favorites. It’s an evening of Music, Romance and Laughter! Shows are Wednesday, Janary 7th at 7 PM and Thursday January 8th at 3 PM.
