KENTUCKY GOVERNMENT RETIREES REACHES 2,400 FRIENDS We’re pleased to see that KGR has reached 2,400 FB users and continues to grow daily. So who is a KGR friend? Among age groups, the two largest categories are 44-54, and 55-64, with a total of 58 percent. Unfortunately, only 10 percent are 65 and older. Women outnumber men, 53 to 47 percent. Where do you live? Not surprisingly, the largest group is Frankfort, with 413, followed by Louisville, 351; Lexington, 186; Lawrenceburg, 78; Georgetown, 50; Shelbyville, 38; Owensboro, 37; and Richmond, 35. We say Guten Tag to our eight FB friends in Germany. We also have friends in Indonesia, Spain and 10 other countries. Go figure. No matter how it all adds up, we need more and more KGR friends in the coming months and years. Why? Because we need all hands on deck to fight for our pensions.
