KNOWLEDGE (part 2) “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge. I will also reject you, that you shall be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children” – Hosea 4:6 The type of knowledge that God is referring to in the verse written above is not a lack of knowledge of good and will, mathematics or any other educational subjects, service unto Him BUT lack of knowledge (or understanding) of His will, ways, counsel, word and standards. Another baffling thought is that God is talking to His own people-saved and church brethren. If He was referring to both the saved and unsaved world, He will call them “the creation”. Uzza was passionate about doing something for God when David instructed that the ark of God be moved in a new cart by using his hand to hold the ark when the oxen stumbled and God killed him. Though Uzza was part of God’s people but He died because he lack the knowledge that the ark of God (which can be likened to the service unto God) cannot be done by giving a hand, flesh or strength BUT should be carried by the priest on their shoulders. Paul thought he was serving God by passionately killing the Christians until God crossed him on his way to Damascus. I DID NOT KNOW is not an excuse.
