KURT WILSON pitched for the win, QUARVIS (“Q”) SELDON closed, and WILLIE GASTON hit a 2- run shot in a losing cause, as the Diamondbacks (8-1) defeated the Indians (2-7) by a 13-8 score at Salem HS on Wednesday night. BOB MELANCON hit a shot hit the top of the wall and might have been a HR, but had to settled for a 2 RBI double. MICHAEL TALLEY stayed hot at the plate, going 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI (would have been 2 RBI’s but an interference out was called when Melancon and Seldon, coaching 3rd ,accidentally collided after another Talley hit).
