KYRGYZSTAN TO CHANGES IMMIGRATION LAW ALLOWING FOREIGNERS ON TOURISM BUSINESS OR PRIVATE VISITS TO STAY FOR SIX MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF ENTRY 08/02-2014 09:41, Bishkek – 24.kg news agency , by Tatyana KUDRYAVTSEVA The Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan introduces amendments to the Law “On external migration”. The official website of the ministry informed. According to its data, there will be some changes in the process of issuing visas and residence for foreign citizens in the country. It is noted that at present two state bodies – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Registration Service are engaged in issuing visas. Organizations while setting seal to visas use different in its image visa stickers and rates of tariff charges and fees for issuing and extention of visas. The draft law supposes to entrust one organization – the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, with functions on visa issuance. The supposed amendments are to detail the process of administrative deportation and issuance of the order on departure. For example, it is suggested to define terms when administrative deportation or departure order can be extended. Limits of maximum term for continuous stay of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship, arrived with tourist, business and private aims in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic are among new introductions to the draft law. The term is restricted by half a year from the date of entrance to the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that current regulations of stay in the country promotes that it is impossible to identify location and form of activity of a foreigner in Kyrgyzstan.
