Kaiser Wilhelm has enlisted the New York Times and the Police Commissioner as well as a barrage of cold calls to other city and state lawmakers in his quest to enforce respect that he has neither earned nor is entitled to. Like most liberals, he is acutely aware of his own freedom of speech and expression but far less accommodating to the freedoms of those who dare to disagree with him. Also like most liberals, he guards his freedom of speech and expression jealously while rejecting any notion of any responsibility or accountability for the consequences of exercising that speech. Clearly this very passive and oh so peaceful back-turning protest that destroys no property and terrorizes no commuters or consumers has gotten the attention (and the goat) of our anarchist-in-chief! Forget Bratton and his memos as he will soon enough abandon this lost cause of an administration and find a new city that needs saving as is his want and habit. We who were here before Bratton and will remain long after his departure must keep giving DeBlasio our backs because although he really deserves to see that part of our anatomy just south of our backs, we should not allow his contemptuous behavior to steal our dignity.
