Keeping you informed about what is going on in your area. 7 cattle valued at $9,000 were stolen from a home in the 9500 block of SW 9th Terrace in Bridle Run. Someone entered the property of Lovett Irrigation located on N. Hwy. 441 in Reddick and stole 4 irrigation tires valued at $2,000. A home in the 15,600 block of SE 96th Ave, Summerfield was broken into sometime over the last week. The home was ransacked, with the victim reporting a tentative loss of jewelry and electronics at $70,850 Someone entered an unlocked vehicle sometime during the last month while it was parked at a home in the 2000 block of SE 50th Terrace in Ocala. They stole a .380 cal handgun and some men’s clothing valued at $300 Units responded to the 900 block of N.W. 56th Avenue in Ocala Ridge in reference to a robbery with shots fired. Investigation revealed that several subjects were at the home when 3 masked suspects entered armed with handguns. The suspects forced everyone to the ground at gunpoint and then fired several shots inside of the home and then fled on foot. The investigation is ongoing Deputy Gabriel and Detective Spillman arrested a 16 year old juvenile for his part in a Burglary and Grand Theft. The 16 year old and a co-defendant, who is still at large, went to the Nautilus Mobile Home Park located on S Pine Ave, Ocala where they stole three bicycles from a shed valued at $450.00. The bikes were located and recovered. While kayaking down the rainbow river, the victim anchored his kayak valued at $400.00 in the river. A short time later he noticed that it was gone and then observed 21 year old Kristopher Naveder and 22 year old Christopher Mikel pulling the kayak from the river. The victim confronted the 2 suspects and was able to retrieve his kayak. As he was loading it onto his trailer, Naveder and his girlfriend, 21 year old Kaitlin Oconnell approached him and started an altercation. At this time Kaitlin punched and kicked the victim several times. All 3 suspects were intoxicated and gave a full confession they were arrested and transported to jail.
