Ketan Mehtas Sardar works very very nicely as a biopic, but the razor sharp dialogues give the movie an edge. Shri Vallabh Vyas (as Jinnah) and Tom Alter (as Mountbatten) are commendable, but needless to say, Paresh Rawal steals the show. If you feel that Paresh Rawal has been type cast in comic roles post Hera Pheri, Sardar, and other movies like Road to Sangam, Rann and No Smoking will be a refreshing change. Somehow, I cannot help wondering that, if Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had been made the first Prime Minister of India, the map of India would have looked different...
