Kindness is the language the blind can see and the deaf can hear.---Mark Twain “Benevolence, boon, courtesy, grace, indulgence, favor, mercy, service,” are words Merriam Webster dictionary uses to define kindness which of course comes from the word kind. These words refer to types of actions of the individual or individuals doing the kind deed or kindness. However, true kindness comes from within the individual, from the soul, the heart, the inner being of what makes a person who he/she is. Some are kind as a pretense, effect, impression. Some are kind from their heart, soul, inner being. A phony can soon be spotted… Usually doesn’t take long. A truly kind person speaks the language of kindness. Further, it is possible for a person to choose to be a kind person… takes practice and effort… yep… but eventually it is a part of one’s being. Twain using his wisdom again lays it out in special terms. People see, hear with an inner ear as one psychologist states it. The Blind and Deaf are perhaps more aware of this inner ear listening than most of us… O to be a kind person…. Yep, got to say again… it’s really something to think about…eh?
