Krazy Kool Caking Tip #42: EXPOSE YOURSELF! Are you experiencing a LACK of clients? Phone not ringing? Email inbox empty? That is PROOF that you ARE NOT EXPOSING YOURSELF to the public! Think of yourself as a fisherman. You need to cast your net FAR and WIDE in order to catch some GOOD FISH. Yes, therell be some stuff in there you dont want, but you can always throw it back into the water! Spend time thinking of ways to EXPOSE YOURSELF to the public. To have a SUCCESSFUL cake business, you dont have to be the BEST cake artist. You just have to be the most EXPOSED. What good is it to make AWESOME cakes if nobody knows you exist? Heres an idea for you... Think of your business cards, for example, as your net. Put them out there as much as possible! When you go to dinner, hand your card to the waiter and tell him who you are, or leave it with the check. See a Mom at the grocery store with her kids? Introduce yourself and give her a card. When you go to your craft store for cake supplies, talk to everyone in the caking aisle and give them cards. When you deliver a cake, ask your client if THEY would be kind enough to give all of their guests a card. There are an INFINITE amount of places, methods, and ways that you can cast your net! Dont be afraid to talk to people. Just PUSH YOURSELF to do it! THIS MIGHT BE the BREAKTHROUGH your business needs! Remember that God will ALWAYS give you wisdom for your life and business. When you cant think of a SINGLE WAY to do something, God has OVER A MILLION ways to do that ONE THING!
