LA Police Commission President Steve Soboroff invited me to a fund-raising event for LAPDs K-9, SWAT, and Mounted Units. (This is me with Steve and his wife, Patti.) Presentations by Chief Charlie Beck and the unit commanders were amazing. A demonstration by an ex-Navy SEAL gun dog in action had the crowd cheering. Wherever you live, I promise you this: Your local PDs K-9 unit needs private donations. Help protect their dogs and officers.
