LESSON ON DRY BRUSHING with Chalk Paint. Bought 2 Beautiful Ornate End Tables, recently chalk painted. I wanted them a little whiter color. Instead of repainting, I dry brushed them with Maison Blanche Magnolia. Dry brushing allows u to bring out the highlights and overall lighten project piece. Pour small amounts of paint onto a plate. Dab paint brush tips only slightly into paint. Dab brush onto paint to get excess paint off. Lightly brush prominent areas on project piece. Reapply based on how much u want dry brushing color to show. This process will allow the existing brown glaze to highlight low lights, crevices, also. Wax or varnish to protect finish. Will show entire end tables when finished. Stayed tuned in a few days...
