LESSONS FROM THE SOWERS PARABLE 4-Luke 13vs10-17:On a sabbath,Jesus was preaching in a synagogue where there are many people.He saw a woman who has been sick for eighteen years and healed her.Unfortunately the elders of the synagogue announced that none is allowed to be healed on the Sabbath.This episode is an example of the spread of the world in the mind of different people.The elders of the synagogue were hearing the Word but the tradition of their religion disallowed them from receiving the Word.They were there to attack the message of. Jesus.They could not differentiate the message from their tradition.What is hindering the Word of God from having a root in your life?Is it the tradition of your church?Are you encumbered by pride or false humility?Is it the problems that you have brought to church?Instead of listening to the Word of the speaker,I hope you are not waiting for the speaker to say something that touches on your dead tradition for you to pouce on him.Why are you so insistent on the speaker not dressing the way your people are dressing?These actions will sap the word out of your heart.Do not allow anything stand between you and the Word.The Word of God is alive and active;let it work the wonders of God in your life. Stop criticizing the speaker,you may not be blessed by his message. I receive the grace to be focused on the word,which is able to save in Jesus name.Amen
