LET US HUMBLE OURSELVES BEFORE THE LORD SO THAT HE LIFTS US UP IN HONOR/HONOUR . But God gives us even more grace to stand against our evil desires. As the Scripture states, ‘God opposes the proud but favors the humble.’ So let us humble ourselves before God. And then let us resist the devil, and he, the devil will flee from us. God instructs that we come close to Him so that He comes close to us. Let us wash our hands, we sinners; let us purify our hearts for our loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for all what we have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Let us humble ourselves before the Lord, and He will lift us up in honour/honor (Jm. 4:6b-10). Beloved, listen to what the Scripture states when we humble ourselves before the Lord and pray: Then if My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land (2 Chron. 7:14 NLT).
