LOCAL VETERAN’S DAY STORY FEATURED ON “STEVE HARVEY” 11/11! Tune-in to “Steve Harvey” on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 11, as Steve Harvey celebrates VETERAN’S DAY to honor all the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to serving America, with an audience full of military members! As part of the Veteran’s Day episode, Steve will honor a very special couple from Millersburg, MI – Terry and Jan Blumberg. On September 14, 2003, Terry and Jan Blumberg tragically lost their only son Trevor, who was killed while serving in Iraq with the U.S. Army. The vehicle that his squad was in ran over an IED and Trevor was the only soldier who didn’t survive. It was an incredibly painful loss. To honor his memory, Terry and Jan used the money from his death benefit, to purchase 12 acres of land and build a retreat, where veterans, service members and their families can escape, rest and relax, all for free! The retreat is called “Blum’s Landing.” Tune-in to “Steve Harvey” on Tuesday, November 11, to hear Terry and Jan talk about their beloved son Trevor, and the “Blum’s Landing” retreat that they created in his memory. Steve Harvey will surprise the Blumbergs on the show, by reuniting them with three soldiers from Trevor’s squad. Harvey will also surprise Terry and Jan, with a $5,000 Green Dot card for each of them, to help keep their “Blum’s Landing” mission going strong. Locally, “Steve Harvey” can be seen in the Traverse City area on Up North Live (WPBN/NBC), weekdays at 2:00 PM. Check local listings or go to steveharveytv/ for time and channel in other markets.
