La Madeleine to Open Location in Flower Mound As one of the top 10 most-requested restaurants by residents, La Madeleine will soon open a 4,500-square foot Flower Mound location. During the July 15 Town Council meeting, Council members approved a Chapter 380 incentive agreement providing impact and building permit fee waivers for the restaurant. Anticipated to open in November, La Madeleine will be located in the River Walk Market, at the northeast corner of FM 1171 and FM 2499, and will serve a variety of French countryside dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “We’re excited the incentive agreement for La Madeleine was approved, demonstrating the Town’s willingness to invest in quality businesses looking to make a home in Flower Mound,” said Flower Mound Mayor Tom Hayden. “We look forward to announcing many additional restaurants, retailers, and other businesses coming to Flower Mound in the near future, which will bring new job opportunities.” The restaurant is already expected to be popular among residents, as La Madeleine has consistently ranked as a top choice in the last three Flower Mound Retail and Restaurant surveys. It was chosen as No. 2 in 2003, No. 7 in 2007, and No. 4 in the most recent 2011 survey. “This project has been in the works for a long time and we are thrilled La Madeleine will open its doors in Flower Mound,” said Flower Mound Economic Development Director Mark Wood. “It is very rewarding to see one of our community’s top picks become a reality.
