Labels are now on all the jars from yesterdays canning project and they are all put up on the shelf WHEW! I wanted to also point out that another way of cooking the plums without dealing with the pits (you still have skin though) is some folks will cut the fruit away from the pits and discard the pit. This works fine if you have a large plum however these particular ones I was working with are pretty tiny so its easier to utilize the straining method after cooking. I am actually a big fan of leaving the skins on when possible as it gives a little zing to the jams and jellies and sauces that is hard to match with other fruits, however in this case I had so much to work with I chose to strain it all out. In any case it all turned out very tasty Now on to morning chores, Konrad already got the milking done and he made the bed so I can get out and do my watering then get back in for house chores before my client comes for a hypnosis session this afternoon.
